4 CREATIVE WAYS TO STORE YOUR STUFF

No matter where you live or how big your space is, you probably feel like you could do with a lot more cupboards. Most of us don’t have that luxury – particularly those of us who live in Asia – so we have to find unique and interesting ways to make our storage solutions a part of our living space. In this story, we’ve done the hard work for you: we’ve thought outside the box, so that you can keep your things neat and tidy – yet still keep your home looking chic and stylish.

  • 1. BASKETS

    Baskets

Baskets are a tried-and-true storage solution: you can throw everything from newspapers and magazines to kids’ toys into them, and, for the most part, you don’t have to be particularly neat about it! Plus there are so many stylish options out there, you’re truly spoilt for choice. Here are a few of our favourites.

  • 2. SHELVING SYSTEMS

    Shelving Systems

Shelving systems are a great way to store your stuff off the ground, and to make use of vertical space. Open shelves also have the benefit of keeping things visually light: cabinets can often be bulky and weigh things down. But with shelves, you have to be willing to show off your stuff. That doesn’t mean you have to style it all up – but you will have to keep things neat and tidy.

  • 3. BOXES & TRUNKS

    Boxes & Trunks

Boxes and trunks have the advantage of being stylish (if you pick the right ones), while allowing you to keep your belongings out of sight.

  • 4. CREATIVE DISPLAYS

    Creative Displays

Storage needn’t necessarily be simple. Make a feature of your system by going for statement making shapes that will add to your decor whilst still doing the job well.
Especially good for keeping small items organised in bathrooms and kitchens, wall mounted and standalone containers in cool shapes and finishes are what to look out for here.
