American artist Man Ray created a cubist chess set back in 1920, inspired by his friendship with fellow artist, and avid chess player, Marcel Duchamp. This re-edition is rendered in beechwood, as Ray originally intended, and is based on a metal version in MoMA’s permanent collection.
