Wall decoration is a highly personal business. Wallpaper can be a backdrop, setting the stage for your furniture and art. Or it can be the piece de resistance – the focal point of a room, with everything else designed to work with it. There’s also the in-between: walls and furniture working together to create a gorgeous space that speaks to your personality.

 

If it’s a backdrop you’re after, then go for something with a subtle pattern or in a light colour such as white or grey. Wallpaper in a pastel hue – like Signature Prints’ Japanese Bamboo in on-trend blush tones – will also set the stage for your furniture.

 

At the other end of the spectrum, a loud-and-proud wallpaper can be an art piece in itself. Choose one for your wall and you won’t need to hang pictures; in fact, unless you’re really courageous, we suggest you don’t mix art with these statement-making designs. Let them speak for themselves.
